Originally built in 1920, Remembrance Paek received a full restoration in 2000 as a Millennium project. The park features a time capsule, memorials to those from Georgetown who served in various conflicts, and the Lorne Scots, the local infantry regiment of the Canadian Army. It was placed by Remembrance Park Millennium committee and the Town of Halton Hills Mayor's youth action committee.
The Park also features a memorial to those from Provincial Paoer Limited who died during World War II.
The time capsule is to be opened on May 8th, 2045. This is the 100th anniversary of V.E. Day.
