One of two 25 Pounder field artillery guns on display in Remembrance Park in Georgetown.
This piece of artillery saw extensive use by the Canadian Army and other allied forces during World War II and Korea.
The gun was manufactured in Canada, and was noted for its sturdiness and reliability. It remained in service until phased out by the new 105mm Howitzers.
Builders plate indicates it was built by Sorel Industries Limited (S.I.L.) in October of 1942.
