This is a small (about 56 hectares)park nestled in a coulee between the grasslands and forests of the foothills. It's main attraction is the stream that flows through the middle of the park over a series of small waterfalls.
The hikng trail forms a loop, first following alongside the creek in the shade of the trees then opening out onto the grassland area. It then climbs up the south side of the coulee and loops back to the parking lot thru the mixed forest along the top of the ridge.
This area is a favorite for birdwatchers as it is in close proximity to a large marsh area that is home to many avian species.
One of the most noteable features is a ridge of rock commonly called the "Dragons Back". This is an outcropping that stretches along the creek and is a great place to just sit and watch life go by.
The park has a few picnic tables and an outhouse near the parking lot. It is not very highly used except by locals.
