Animal Farm
Country living is just around the corner at the Suson Park animal farm display. Most breeds of farm animals are represented for urban dwellers to see and enjoy, from the draft horses that helped plow our soil to examples of the modern cattle breeds. Life on the farm never looked so good! Free admission. Open daily April through September from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; open October through March from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily (goats, pigs and chickens - cows and horses are in the barn on weekends only). Schedule a volunteer led tour for $20 for groups of up to 30 people in April and May by calling the Affton White-Rodgers Community Center at 314-638-2100.
Reservable Picnic Sites
Consists of a barbeque pit and about five tables for up to 50 people at each site.
Fritz Shelter
Consists of seasonal modern restrooms, water, barbeque pits and nearby playground. Electric outlets. For maximum of 100 people.
Lakeside Shelter
Consists of electric outlets, seasonal modern accessible restrooms, water and barbeque pits. For maximum of 125 people.
Wally Spindler Shelter This shelter is normally Not Reservable, however, it can be used/reserved if needed because of an emergency or overbooking of other facilities. Area Manager must be advised prior to booking. Consists of 10 picnic tables, electric, water, playground (2/10 mile), restroom (2/10 mile). NOTE - Very limited parking available.

Fishing
Lakes are stocked every 3 weeks by the Missouri Department of Conservation. MDC regulations apply.

The name of the park originated with well-known figure in St. Louis at the time, Sidney Salomon, Jr. as a combination of his children's names, Susan and Sonny.
