Pramen Labe, Czech Republic - Natural Springs on Waymarking.com

CZ: Pramen naší nejvýznamnejší ceské reky Labe vyverá na Labské louce, sousedící v tesné blízkosti státní hranice s Polskem. Tento pramen v roce 1684 symbolicky vysvetil královéhradecký biskup Jan z Talemberka a tak se Labská louka stala definitivne ceským územím. V roce 1968 byla provedena úprava pramene Labe a nainstalována kovová deska s erby mest, kterými Labe protéká. Místem prochází tzv. Ceská cesta a je zde rozcestník turistických tras (cervené, zelené a žluté).

Pramenná oblast reky Labe leží na pomerne rozlehlém náhorním vrchovišti. Roste zde rada glaciálních reliktu i krkonošských endemitu. Pres louku vedla historická obchodní stezka spojující ceské vnitrozemí se Slezskem (tzv. ceská stezka). Pramen Labe byl slavnostne vysvecen již v roce 1648, ale do dnešní podoby bylo jeho okolí upraveno až v roce 1968. Dostupný je z Labské boudy (1 km) nebo ze Zlatého návrší (3 km).

EN: An Elbe meadow is a place, were we can find spring area of the river Elbe. The area consists of alpine meadows, sub-arctic peat bogs, scrub cover and climactic spruce woods. Number of rare species grows there, we can find relics of the ice age such as lousewort or salmon berry. It is situated east of Harrachov, northwest of Špindleruv Mlýn.

Please post an original picture of the springs no GPS necessary along with your observations of the spring. What wildlife you saw if any and the condition of the springs. Water level was high, low. The area was clean, trashy ect. Any other knowledge or experiences you have had with this paticular spring that would help document it's history.
