Long Description:
Louisville Free Public Library opened in 1908. The library was
funded by a grant from Andrew Carnegie, along with 6 other branch
libraries in Louisville. The Beaux Arts styled library in a t-shape
was designed by Tilscher and Tachau. The library doubled in sized
with an addition in 1969, however the old part of the library was
retained with the addition built to the rear of the old.
