Scaterie Island Light house is situated on the eastern part of Scaterie Island. This is alos the most easterly part of the province of Nova Scotia.
This is the last information on the Light as there were several here over the passage of time.
Lighthouse Location: On northeast point of Scaterie Island
Lighthouse Structure: Square white tower on fog signal building
The lighthouse was built and first lit in 1987.
Tower height: 044ft feet.
Light height: 064ft feet.
Light range: 23 miles.
Light characteristic: Flashing White (1992).
Light automated (destaffed): 1987
Regular transportation to the Island is non existant, but you could hire a fisherman to take you there.
