The Ritchie County Courthouse is located at 115 East Main Street in the borough of Harrisville, West Virginia.
Ritchie County Courthouse was constructed in 1923 of fine-grain ashlar sandstone and is a Neo-Classical Rivival style having two stories with a raised basement.
The first meeting of the Ritchie County Court was held in the home of John Harris, Esq., on April 4, 1843. The first permanent courthouse was completed in 1874 and an annex added in 1899.
The present courthouse was built and completed in 1923. Architects for the building were Holmboe and Pogue Company.
