Long Description:
Sorrounded by a low wall and walkway, a stepway leads up to the
statue (perhaps 15 feet tall) of the bronze likeness of a Wooly
Mammoth. One leg is raised to allow folks to crawl underneath and
pose with this now extinct mighty beast, but it appeared that most
people we saw were content to merely stand near one of its massive
legs.
Location description: Parking area of Mammoth Lakes Ski Area.
