The interior restoration of the home consisted of the detailed restoration and reproduction of wall and ceiling treatments. In the foyer, the wallpaper was removed and the original decoration was reproduced from small pieces that could be seen. In the parlor, the walls were peeled down to the original and the frieze design was reinstalled based on photographs of the room. Scraps of the ceiling design in the dining room were visible. Dolores reproduced the design on canvas so that the original remains intact. The design features floral-motif urns in each corner. Two of them are original and two have been reproduced by Dolores. The exterior work conducted by the Fritz’s has included exterior painting and tuck pointing. Window heads have been replaced and on the balconies, the pilasters and spindles have been replaced and/or redone. The soffits have been replaced and the brackets redone. The railing on the front stairs and porch have been replaced. The back porch and the balustrades on the house have been replaced. The wrought iron banisters match the design that had been on the mansard roof, as does the railing on the roof. The architect on the project was James Bragonier. The exterior painting was completed by Alan Johnson.
