Wilbur Wright School, Detroit, Michigan - Civil Defense Fallout Shelters on Waymarking.com

This shelter is located on Rosa Parks Blvd, between Calumet St & Canfield St. This shelter has one exterior sign in good condition.
This building has been empty since at least 2005. I was given a tour with an urban explorer I know from Flickr. The damage inside is great, there is a ton on dumb and spectacular graffiti inside. There used to be 3 signs on the inside, only one remains, and it's in poor condition.
when entering the basement, right under the stairs are about 25-30 water barrels, a few unopened cases of survival crackers, and lots of broken medical supplies. There must of been several cases of medical kit A.
Further into the basement there is not much left to see. there was a sanitation kit, upside down in a puddle of water. when I tipped it over, all the contents where still there, just all waterlogged and dirty.
When we were leaving, I checked a few of the water barrels, they still have water in them. Which would explain why the bottoms were rusted out on some of them, The plastic bags on the inside must of deteriorated and let the water go inside to react to the metal.
I would guess that this shelter capacity would've been 150+. I will add more information on this shelter if it becomes available.
