Park created in memory of local men lost in Vietnam.
Until the mid-Seventies, this road and park were part of the western access (Routes 44/55) to the Mid-Hudson Bridge.
Heading west on the bridge, one was confronted with a huge rock wall, requiring a hard right turn.
In the park, one is still close to the bridge traffic, but there is a peace about the place.
