This gun is place here, in honor of the Callaway men and women who served their country in all its wars.

 Date of dedication: May 26, 1997.
 Who Put it Here?: Callaway V.F.W. Post #2657 and the City of Fulton.
 Description of Memorial: Large circular concrete pad painted in the center with a red star and a powder blue border. Towards the street is a small stone build platform for the marble marker of the memorial.
Just to the right of this memorial is the original World War I Memorial Park. The columns of which still stand but no longer are the entrance to the park. In the centerfield area of the existing baseball field you can discern a large circle indent in the ground where the original WWI artillery piece was mounted. The park has been re-organized and the WWI columns are left off to the side and out of the way.
