Long Description:
This is a 14X14 house perched on the edge of Lemmon Rock. It has windows on three sides and dozens of lightning rods. It's staffed from May through September on a 24/7 basis. You can reach it from the parking lot on the summit of Mt Lemmon by following the steep Lemmon Rock trail ("http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/coronado/forest/recreation/trails/lemmon_rk.shtml." target="_blank">visit link) From Lemmon Rock you can look southeast over the Catalinas with views of Sabino Canyon and Pusch Ridge and much of southeastern Arizona. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.

More information is on the NPS website ("http://www.nps.gov/history/history/online_books/ccc/ccc/chap15.htm" target="_blank">visit link) and an interesting writeup about it's current use is at the Tucson Weekly website ("http://www.tucsonweekly.com/gbase/Currents/Content?oid=98001." target="_blank">visit link)
