The Seattle Totem in the Pioneer Square area. Comprised of seven animals, I can see an orca, raven, brown bear, frog, and heron with two unknown animals. The original totem pole, that this is a replica of, was actually stolen from Fort Tongass, Alaska and later settled with Tlignit Tribe that had carved it. In 1938 the totem was damaged by an arsonist, removed, and a replica (carved by descendants of original carvers) was placed in 1940.
