Many years ago, I almost fell at Chapman Falls and now I read that Satan likes to play his violin at the top of the falls. I thought I was being pushed.
I found a wonderful excerpt from a book that explains how this area gets its name. (
visit link) The "hopyard" refers to a place where a local tavern grew hops for its beer, 200 years ago. And we all know just how EVIL beer is.
860 acre park that has hiking trails, 60 foot waterfall, 21 wooded campsites, picnic facilities and 13 geocaches.
