The Muddy Creek Cemetery was established in 1825 according to the sign. Located on the west side of PA Route 8 just north of the intersections of Muddy Creek Rd and Euclid Rd. This cemetery contains many graves from the 1800s including some American Revolution and Civil War Veterans. This is also the resting place of Mrs James Wigton and her 5 children. They were massacred by Sam Mohawk, a Seneca Indian, in 1843. Sam entered their home near the Old Stone House and killed all 6 while Mr Wigton was away. There are approximately 100 graves.
