This peak is in Mount Rainier National park, and is an excellent way to view mount Rainier away from the crowds at Paradise. Views from the summit include nearby companion peaks of Pinnacle and The Castle along the same ridge to the east, with an excellent vantage of Mount Rainier to the north, and far away to the south are the sister volcanoes of Mount Adams and Mount Saint Helens.

The trailhead begins at Reflection Lakes parking lot; look for the Pinnacle Saddle trailhead sign. The trail is only officially maintained to the saddle, which climbs 1,050 feet in 1.3 miles to an elevation at the saddle of 5,950 feet. The trail is on the north face of the ridge, so expect snow in early summer months.

Upon reaching the saddle, there are unmaintained trails that go along the ridge. The trail to the east goes past Pinnacle Peak (a dangerous climb to the top, and not recommended), and The Castle (unknown, but the "towers" appear technical). Unless properly equipped, ignore the eastern trail and instead follow the winding path up the ridge to the south west. Expect to traverse a few snow banks and scree slopes, so proceed cautiously. The summit is just another half mile past the saddle, with a little over 400 feet of elevation gain.

The wide snow field just below Plummers Peak provides a perfect glissade down a short portion of the ridge.
Altitude in Feet: 6370
