Located in southern tuscany, in the municipality of Scarlino, this beach is surrounded by a wooded and rocky coastline. The inexistence of a paved road along the coastline has kept this beach pristine, and its water very clean. Boaters are often seen putting anchor, this being one of the favorite destinations of recreational sea travelers. The beach is only accessible on foot by walking 2 km on a trail starting from a parking lot reachable from SP158 (Strada Provinciale 158). A fee of 4 Euro is collected for parking. Mountain bikes are allowed, as the wooded hills surrounding the beach have many trails built for that purpose. A food concessionary is at the beach site, and sandwiches can be purchased. There is no lifeguard, but a first aid kit is on the site. A beach chair and umbrella can be rented for about 10 Euro.
