This 660 acre plot on E Veterans Highway in Jackson, New Jersey is not just the nursery for the propogation and reforestation of New Jersey's Forests, but also an interprative learning center for visitors of all ages.
There are 7 miles of trails the identify local plants and animals, from the swamps to the oaks. Self exploration or guided tours are available.
Many greenhouses are here, producing nearly 300,000 seedlings yearly for replanting programs. Tours of the greenhouses are avilable, and demonstrations on Wildlife Habitat Gardening, acorn planting, pruning techniques and even beekeeping!
