Not just a cheesy ploy to pad our numbers.
The past few years have been quite educational. We've learned a great deal about so many things while we're out waymarking.
One such thing in particular has been obscure trivial things related to World War II. As a for instance, these three inventions have been attributed to the allied victory: the Jeep, the DC-3, and the Quonset Hut. (We've managed to waymark a few of those.)
Further study revealed that James J. Kilroy worked as an inspector at the shipyard in Quincy, MA. during the war. (So did my grandfather, the original Harvey.)
So I started wondering, how many are out there?
As a lark I wrote us on one of the VW Bugs here in Conway,TX during our trip along Route 66. A perfecly legal place to scribble whatever you wish. Just keep it clean, children visit these VW Bugs.
Who was here?: Kilroy
