The library offers fourteen computers where patrons may access the Internet. To use the Internet, you need to have a "smart card", whose placement in the computer's card reader is mandatory to login. Smart cards have a predetermined filtering profile in accordance with the patron's age and wishes of the legal guardian. Children under age 18 must have a signed consent form which states which type of access their parents wish them to have.
In periods of heavy usage, computers may be reserved once in the building using the smart card's reservation system. The smart card has a technologically-enforced time limit of ninety (90) minutes per day, limiting users to one consecutive hour when there is a waiting list. Users may check and send email, but to prevent viruses from entering our system, may not open attachments. The Library does not provide email accounts. Users must establish their own accounts from any of the free email providers.
