The abstract sculpture titled "Major" is on display at the Northwest corner of 8th and Locust. The work by Charles Fahlen was dedicated in 1983. The sculpture is made of concrete and the shapes appear to be stacks of colorful cinder blocks.

The plaque says:

Commissioned by American Postal Workers House Associates in compliance with the one percent fine arts requirement of the redevelopment authority of the city of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
