This house is located on one of the oldest streets in historic Haddonfield. From early 1800, Tanner St. was a residential street & remains of very choice early residential housing. This semi-detached house is old but it certainly does not look it.

Many of these homes have been adapted to suit offices and shops. There are new buildings as well which, for the most part, are compatible in height, design, and material used. This is a semi-detached house, however, which somewhat helps preserve the original 19th century structures, giving historic character to the street, despite it being used as a commercial duplex today. There is another home to its right (23 Tanner Street) which is detached and not detached (you can make up your mind), which is also listed as contributing to the historic district.

"Similar, [to 23 Tanner Street] but has the 2 over 2 Victorian style sash, a classic style portico on the front and in fairly good early American style. "
