Many locally grown, farmed and baked goods can be found at this enclosed Farmer's Market.
There is also plenty of metered parking in the nearby City Hall lot. Makes a great first stop to buy some food for walking the downtown area for other waymarks, and also of course to take home for some good old fashioned home cooking!

According to the For Tourists page Located in the heart of St. Catharines, the market is one of the oldest in Ontario and the place where local farmers have been selling their goods since the early 1800´s. Locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh cut flowers, poultry, cheese, eggs, honey homemade preserves and baked goods are available. Historically significant buildings surround the Market.
The History of the Farmer's Market also includes that the St. Catharines market is among the top ten oldest to serve the province.
A Farmers’ Market of one description or another has been located in the Heart of St. Catharines for
over 160 years. It was common to see live poultry and other animals on the Market. Quarters of
beef could be purchased, there was hay, straw and fire wood pulled to the Market by teams of horses.
As today and in the past, City Hall has conducted local affairs within a few steps of the noise of the nearby Farmer's Market.
