This time capsule was erected by the Columbian Lodge as a part of their 100th anniversary observations. It was dedicated on December 4, 1928 and is to be opened in 2028 during the Lodge's 200th anniversary observations. It appears that the metal disk on the top on the monument orginally served as a sundial but it has been broken and not repaired.

1828 – 1928
Erected and dedicated Dec. 4th 1928 by Columbian Lodge No. 7 F&A.M. in commemoration of the one hundredth anniversary. Contained within this rough ashler are the record of its activities, roster of its membership, the original Lodge Bible and various mementos.
To be brought to light and rededicated on the occasion of the two hundredth anniversary in the year 2028 A.D.
