This isn't the the primary attraction at Wickham Park. Its a small building, from the outside and seems to be so much larger once you are inside. I nicknamed it The Tardis.
There are no live animals inside except for the display of a bee hive. There is an outdoor aviary adjacent to the building that has a nice selection of birds (Hawks, pheasant, peacocks, emu...) that is all the live animals the nature center has.
Inside the building, there are stuffed animals, interactive displays about local plants and wildlife and little information about the Wickham family. Horace Wickham invented the window envelope.
Also housed in 'the Tardis" is a snack shop, the disc golf 'pro shop,' and rest rooms.

Wickham Park (visit link) contains 250 acres of gardens, open fields, woodlands, ponds, picnic areas, sports facilities, and other attractions. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the rest of your day enjoying this wonderful park.
Entrance (parking) fees (per vehicle) are $3 weekdays and $4 on weekends. Limos and Buses cost more. There is limited free parking on a side street (Vernon Rd) at N41 47.024 W72 35.011.
Wickham Park is open 7 days a week from the first weekend in April through the last weekend in October. Regular Park hours are from 9:30AM to sunset.

Visitors should visit the Nature Center and post a photo of themselves (or GPS unit) either inside or outside of the nature center visited. Logs without photos WILL be allowed if a lenghty description of one's visit and a mention of what they learned is included.
