The church was originally built in 1827, and the structure resembled a meeting house. The church was a location for the Protestants to worship. In 1835 St. Andrews was admitted into the Diocese of Pennsylvania, it was at this time the cemetery also was opened. The church was remodeled in 1889 to its quaint appearance it has today. The cemetery has a couple hundred graves.
