Once inside the Parque de las Ciencias, there was another wonderful bronze statue, this time of Marie Sklodowska–Curie. A famous female physicist and chemist born in Warsaw. Altho the wife of Pierre Curie, she is the only person honored with Nobel Prizes in two different sciences!
We chatted a bit and discussed my chemistry job back home in New York. She seemed interested in how much nano-technology has advanced!
