The Botanical Garden of Zirc, formed from the English garden of the Cistercian Abbey of Zirc, collects and presents plants indigenous to the Bakony Hills. A total of nearly 600 different species of trees and bushes can be found in the garden, including this Pedunculate Oak and and a row of linden trees planted in 1809. According to records, this oak is the eldest tree in the garden.
A zirci cisztercita apátság angolkertjébõl kialakult Zirci Botanikus kert a Bakony õshonos növényeit gyujti és mutatja be. Közel 600 különbözõ bokor- és fafaj található a kertben, köztük ez a kocsányos-tölgy és az 1809-ben ültetett híres hársfasor. A feljegyzések szerint ez a fa az arborétum legidõsebb fája, 400 évesre becsülik, magassága 25 m, kerülete 4,26 m.
