Located at the Yesler Community Center, Whirl Piece: Current Events, is the brainchild of Ela Lamblin, a musician and artist. Musical instruments are incorporated in this large domed steel structure, and are powered by the revolving wind catch at its apex. Accordingly, Whirl Piece has both tremendous visual and audio appeal. The genius of the artist was revealed when he explained that he meant for the ambient noise of the physical location to play an active role and add to the experience of artwork's visitors. Whirl Piece is something that you just have to see for yourself.
