Long Description:Very nice facility, fuel on the water, fuel at the store, a store,
drinks, baits, supplies, rest room, good wet storage dock,
campground with 45 RV sites, $5 Launch fee, excellent restaurant
and bar with entertainment, good food and two dinning areas
overlooking the river one of which is open air known as the
“Porch.” It is a favorite place for motorcycle riders and many
“Rally’s” are held here.
As can be seen from the photos that the river level changes a
lot. Also, with the rich sandy loam bank when there is high water,
the ramp itself will silt over requiring maintenance for use and
this is definitely kept up to day. This silting problem exists on
all ramps on the Red River. There are now many ramps on the Red
River after it was opened for navigation up to Shreveport - Bossier
about ten years ago.
