This building was built in 1895 as the Academic Building but is now a barracks building for the Academy. When Douglas MacArthur (Class of 1903) was a cadet he led a small group of cadets to move the reveille cannon from across the Plain and to the top of the clock tower in one night. It took the post engineers two weeks to figure out a way to move it back down.
