If you had been living in the Jamestown Colony in 1608, you would have seen the very beginnings of what is the oldest industry in America - making glassware by hand. Today the L. E. Smith Glass factory tour is a wonderful opportunity to see first hand some of the very same techniques and tools used by the original artisans. The craftsman continue a tradition of producing high-quality, handmade American glass every day.
