The SUPERINTENDENT'S QUARTERS, Jefferson Road, was built about 1820 and was occupied by Robert E. Lee when he was superintendent of the Academy - New York: A Guide to the Empire State, West Point section, pg 368.

The home continues to serve as the home for the Superintendent of the United States Military Academy.  The home and the surrounding gardens are well maintained.
