This piece is located in an island of the parking lot for the Laurelhurst community center and park. There are parking spaces here, but they can get crowded. Street parking is also available. The art can be seen while driving through if there is no parking available.

This piece was designed by Susan Zoccola and was completed in March of 2007. The piece sits amongst real trees and is meant to compliment the natural setting. The pods on the art piece mimic maple tree leaf pods and will even sway gently in the breeze. The pods are illuminated at night.

The pole is approximately 18 feet high and the pods vary from 4 to 7 feet wide.

When designing this piece, Zoccola spent time at community meetings as well as at the community center and park that hosts the piece. She used all the information to create a piece that compliments and blends into the natural surroundings.

This park features a nice play area, a community center, and at least one cache. There is also a nice walking path through the park and tennis courts.
