The Black Horse Inn at Shipston-on-Stour is conveniently situated central to many attractions in the Midlands. Dating back to the 14th Century this beautiful olde worlde pub has a thatched roof, original beamed ceilings and inglenook fireplace with an open fire lit on chilly wintry nights.

The licence dates back to 1540, and it brewed illegally before that!

Aunt Sally is played here, as are traditional indoor games, crib, darts, & dominoes.

Re-opened in December 2007 after a two-month refit, this ancient stone-built pub is the only thatched building in Shipston.

**Look out for the Victorian post box outside.**
