This small, cute sculpture garden is located just outside the Pacific Science Center. It features several smaller sculptures including a seahorse, a group of fish, an octopus, a flying pig and a crab, with a larger center piece, a 5 foot tall whale tail that has water coming off of it. The work was created by artist Gloria Bornstein in 2002.

While the garden stands on its own, the whale tail center piece is intended to connect it to the two large bronze whales located near the International Fountain, which was an earlier work by the artist titled Neototems.

Bornstein said the idea for the garden was based on a Native American legend.

Parents going to the Science Center beware... my 5 year old simply can't resist getting soaked under the whale's tail before heading inside... may you have better luck!
