The Chesapeake House, opened in 1975, at milepost 97 (between exits 93 & 100) in Cecil County.
This is a HUGE rest stop for motorists but especially for truckers. I saw trucks fueling up, idling, and just generally loitering about. They offer overnight spaces for the truckers as well. There is also a separate ramp for the big rigs, too! The stop is accessible along both I-95 North & South. Truckers and cars alike stop here for gas, tourist information, good restaurant food, restroom us or even picnicking. For a rest stop, there is just so much to do!
You can bring your laptop as there is free WiFi. There are penny smashers, lots and lots of restrooms, helpful government workers manning the information center as well as plenty of parking.
Many people stop here just to visit this place as it is a tourist attraction in of itself.
