I was told about this spot 20 years ago by a friend, it is near a popular camp site but is hard to find. The park rangers have told me that they don't know why it was made but it seems to be at least 100 years old. The area was used by cattle rustlers and miners so it may have been created to hide something or maybe to store dynamite. You should park near campsite 17, 18, 19 or 20 at Hidden Valley Campground, then hike about .30 miles to find the hidden door. It is worth the hike. The additional coordinates listed below are the coordinates of my parking spot on my last visit to the site.
Type: Local Legend or Lore

Additional Coordinates: N 34° 01.122 W 116° 09.784
