Long Description:
Echo Point is the main lookout area for viewing the Three Sisters. Superb views look down into the Megalong Valley and across to the Ruined Castle. Viewing platforms are suspended over the edge of the cliffs.
Many bushwalks start from this point, including the Three Sisters Walk and Giant Stairway.
Echo Point now offers a new panorama - a 270-degree view over the Jamison Valley - achieved by raising the lookout by more than six metres.
The information centre, walking tracks and landscaping have also been upgraded.
The changes are part of the $20 million Katoomba and Echo Point revitalisation program, funded jointly by the State Government and local council.
About a million people visited Echo Point, the home of the Three Sisters, and other attractions in the area every year.
