Stellers Gallery was founded in 1985 when Scott Riley began to exclusively promote the artwork of his brother C. Ford Riley. After a few years, as the demand for C. Ford Riley’s work increased, other styles of artwork were becoming of great interest to his clientele. Riley began to collect work from various established artists and soon it was necessary to have a larger space in order to display the growing inventory.
In 1992, Riley moved his Baymeadows Road gallery to the San Marco area to be more centrally located in this shopping district known for its privately owned boutiques and restaurants.
Stellers Gallery is a full service fine art gallery that offers complimentary consultation, delivery, and installation of any artwork purchased from or framed by the gallery. They offer specialty framing including, but not limited to, French matting, watercolor and creatively decorated matting, and shadow box framing including: sports memorabilia, precious antiques, jewelry, medals, flags, etc. All of their framing is museum-quality, with all materials used being archival.
The gallery houses a variety of styles ranging from conservative and traditional, to expressionist, abstract, and whimsical. The artists they currently exhibit originate from areas as far as Russia, the Middle East, France, and Spain, to California, New York, Atlanta, Florida, and many other areas. Stellers proudly supports local artists in Jacksonville and encourages their creative expression.
