Plaque at clock reads:

This clock stands in loving memory of J. Neal Cadieu, Sr. (1904-1957) and his wife, Sybil (1908-1999). As time passes, may we never forget these two citizens who were so proud to serve as devoted community leaders and newspaper publishers in Rockingham, Hamlet and Richmond County. Most of all, they were loving parents.

Dedicated by their children, Neal, Jr. and Annie, and their families.
