Long Description:
Edward Plamer was a member of the PEI Legislature and of the
Legislative Council prior to confederation. A delegate at the
Charlottetown and Quebec conferences of 1864 he was initially
strongly opposed to confederation but in 1873 threw his support
behind the idea. He eventually became Chief Justice of PEI's
Supreme Court.
