Heron's Head Park is a 25-acre park located at Evans and Jennings Street in the Hunter's Point area of San Francisco. This park is built on the foundations of what was supposed to be Pier 98. The spit of land shelters a tidal marsh and habitat for birds and other bayshore critters. Local volunteer groups have re-established native vegetation. It can be a bit windswept and rugged, but you actually do see herons flying through here!
