Illinois Central Caboose No. 9425 is on display by the old depot in Carbondale, Illinois, which is next door to the current Amtrak station. The old depot is now used by the Chamber of Commerce. Next to the caboose is the I.C. No. 8701 diesel locomotive.
Visitors can climb on the end platforms.
Current Use:
This caboose is on display next to the old depot along the Canadian National (Illinois Central) tracks.
