The posted coordinates are for the entrance/parking area of the park. The park is simply a forest with lots of trails. There are no bells and whistles like the other Camden County parks. This one has trees, dirt and a few garbage cans.

Slim's Ranch had been targeted as a site for development of 700 new homes, bringing more crowding and congestion to this rapidly developing area. TPL transferred the property to Camden County Parks, which now manages this 60-acre park with fields, woodlands and a network of trails. The ranch also includes nearly a half-mile of frontage on Big Timber Creek and will extend an existing greenway.
