The entire ridge above Berkeley and Oakland boasts spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay. Even on overcast days, as in the photo, the view can take your breath away. This particular view is from the outdoor exhibit area behind the Lawrence Hall of Science. The museum has an ever-changing set of interactive exhibits, and it's a great place to take your kids on a rainy day, or really, any day. Non-member admission for adult is 11$, and 6$ for children. For more information, see
the Lawrence Hall of Science web page.
For geocachers, this particular view is right near a benchmark, and there's a virtual geocache right outside the museum!
