The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain is a memorial to the late Princess of Wales. Opened to the public on July 6, 2004, the flowing waters are intended to symbolize the energy and zest for life embodied by Diana. The fountain is in Hyde Park, London near the Serpentine area. Using computer-aided technology, each of the 545 stones was cut from Cornish granite. It has been estimated that up to 1 million visitors a year visit the fountain. On a hot day, you can spot hundreds of London residents and visitors soaking their feet in the cool water!
