Presently a Pentecostal Church I suspect it was orginially another denomination. From the double front doors it was most likely a baptist church built in the mid to late 1800's. At that time the men would enter the church and sit on the right side and the women and children would do the same on the left side.
There is not a "Built" plaque and I can find nothing online. Will continue to research.
The bell tower is huge but no bell seems to be in place at present.
The church is about a half a mile from the North Fork of the Holston River.
There is also a TVA Survey marker at the East corner indicating this area was surveyed as the original site of what is now South Holston Lake which was built a few miles into Tennessee.
